KrausComp1quest

I am able to do better in the classroom when the teacher explains in detail exactly what he wants.

Below are the goals for my Foundations of College Writing Course.
For each goal, I've selected work that demonstrates how I addressed that goal during the course,
and explained how, citing specific examples from my work.

Goal
My Work
My explanation
Goal A - Students will be able to compose
for particular audiences and purposes
Genre 1
I completed a magaizine advertisement on Ray Lewis. In this piece i directly targeted the audience of young adults and kids with the purpose of selling a product. I targeted childrena nd young adults by endorsing Gatorade with a successful athlete Ray Lewis. This is a use of ethos because children want to grow up and be like Ray Lewis so will buy the product in hopes as being as successful as him.
Goal B - Students will be able to compose using
language and conventions appropriate to genre

Goal C - Students will be able to read, select, and use

evidence critically to formulate and support arguments

Goal D - Students will be able to interpret and compose in

a variety of media and print/non-print genres

Goal E - Students will be able to describe and apply

appropriate writing processes, both individually

and in collaborative contexts
